I gave some old people the finger back in my worldlier days. I dont use that finger anymore except for pointing and other things (I dont flick people off anymore, thats for sure).
The thing is, if I were you, I'd probably have skidded over onto the exit behind that old lady, and followed her bumper-to-bumper all the way until she gets to where she is going. I may even flash my brights at her a few times just to show her YOU DONT MESS WITH ME!!!! (Yes I have followed people for even more petty reasons than that) I mean, seriously, a 65 yr old lady??? had that been anyone besides you in the car she flicked off she could have gotten seriously beaten the crap out of, I mean at that age your pretty helpless as far as fighting.
Anyway, I would not expect you to be as aggressive as I, but nonetheless, I probably would have been more aggressive about getting over into the lane. O well... I guess theres nothing to do about it now.
other things hopefully not including picking your nose, knuckling someone's thigh, or pushing that flashing red button...
yeah better watch out for that flashing red button!
